5 short weeks and I’m a married man! 2 short weeks and I’ll have run a marathon on ice - hopefully! time is flying and it feels like there’s been no time to stop and enjoy the ride… just a lot to do and even more worrying about things that need to be done. its become persistent now… this evening i sat down at the computer and for once there was not much on the to-do list… but i’ve forgotten how to chill… so here i am blogging like crazy which is probably a good thing since somehow blogging’s been neglected by both members of the team for a few days now.
i must admit that team morale does not seem to be at an all time high at the moment. probably its just a few pre-marathon jitters and niggling injuries that are to blame… i treated the nerves with a bit of shopping therapy this weekend… a snowshoes order, goretex shoes, a goretex jacket and a dynamite woolen hat to make me look cool at the pole. everything seems to be almost there now… the website sees a grand revamped launch on friday - which means that sean and i will need to find the time to write to everyone and i mean everyone to get them pledging before we leave next tuesday. thats probably the weekend written off then! i strongly suspect the post np marathon celebration will be huge and i’m also gonna need that honeymoon!!
